Safety Policies

COVID-19

We will be following the current public guidelines and regulations set by the Government of British Columbia to ensure we have a safe event. Be prepared to follow these guidelines as the minimum requirement for entry.

Age Restriction

People of all ages are welcome at LTX. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent/guardian. Children under the age of 6 may enter for free while accompanied by a ticket-holding parent/guardian.

Food and Beverages

Outside food and beverages are not permitted at the event. Attendees will be asked to finish eating/drinking anything in their possession before entering the expo floor. We do encourage the use of reusable water bottles which can be filled at select water stations in the expo hall!

Drugs Policy

Any attendee who is caught buying, using, or dealing drugs while at LTX will have their badge revoked, will be barred from future LTX events and reported immediately to security and/or local law enforcement in accordance with local laws.

Smoking & Vaping Policy

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Vancouver Convention Centre or within 25 feet of windows, doors and air intakes/ducts on the building.

Cameras, Recording and Live Streaming

Guests are permitted to take photos, videos or stream while attending LTX. However, if your attempt to take photos, video or live stream interferes with official LTX streams, videos, or photos, you will be asked to stop until you are no longer obstructing the productions (Stage Events, Booths, Activations, etc.).

Please note that while on the expo floor or in any other area in the convention centre associated with LTX, you may be captured on camera. By entering the convention centre and expo floor you agree to release Linus Media Group and its affiliates from any and all claims that may arise related to the use of your likeness and/or voice in a video, livestream or images that were captured while you attended LTX.

Pets and Assistance Dogs

No animals or pets are permitted at the convention with the exception of assistance animals. Assistance animals must be leashed and wear an assistance vest. Any attendee with an assistance animal must be prepared to show their Guide Animal Certificate before entering the expo floor.

Costumes, Cosplays & Weapons

Costumes and Cosplaying is permitted at LTX, but we do not allow for real, fake or simulated weapons nor do we allow full mask/face coverings (you are permitted to wear a N95 mask or similar).

  • If a costume or cosplay incorporates a full mask/face covering, you will be asked to relinquish full mask/face covering to staff or find a place to store the mask/covering before you can enter the expo floor. LTX will not provide storage for these items - you will need to store it in a safe location away from the expo before you are allowed entry into the event.

  • If a part of your costume is considered to be a weapon by security or staff, you will be asked to relinquish the item to staff or find a place to store the item before you can enter the expo floor.
